This Forrester Wave evaluation assessed 13 endpoint security providers using 25 criteria. The evaluation focused on vendors that offer comprehensive endpoint protection platforms suitable for security and risk professionals, with capabilities including malware and exploit prevention, attack and vulnerability remediation, behavioral-based malicious action detection and prevention, endpoint control, and deep reporting. All vendors included earned $100 million or more in annual endpoint security revenue with no more than 90% of revenue from a single region.
A: Vendors must meet inclusion criteria to participate in the Forrester Wave evaluation. The criteria for this evaluation included: (1) A comprehensive endpoint protection platform with most key EPP capabilities out of the box, (2) $100 million or more in annual endpoint security revenue with geographic diversity, and (3) Interest from or relevance to Forrester clients based on inquiries, interviews, surveys, or warranted inclusion due to technical capabilities and market presence. Vendors may decline to participate or contribute only partially to the evaluation, in which case they are scored according to Forrester's vendor participation policy.
