This Magic Quadrant for Communications Platform as a Service is the first version of this Magic Quadrant. It replaces the Market Guide for Communications Platform as a Service. By 2026, 90% of global enterprises will leverage communications platform as a service (CPaaS) as a strategic IT skill set to maintain digital competency, up from 30% in 2022.
A: This is the inaugural Magic Quadrant for CPaaS, replacing the previous Market Guide format. Therefore, there are no vendors added or dropped from a previous Magic Quadrant edition. Vendors were evaluated based on meeting specific inclusion criteria including minimum revenue thresholds ($350 million or more, or $250-349.99 million with 40% growth), geographic presence across at least two major regions, core CPaaS capabilities (SMS, voice, DID, phone number registration, identity confirmation, and at least one rich communications messaging medium), and customer service/support capabilities.
