This is the first version of Magic Quadrant for container management. It replaces the 2022 Market Guide for Container Management. The container management market has seen accelerated growth of 28.6% over the past year with a market value of $1.6 billion in 2022. The market is forecast to exceed $3.6 billion in constant currency by 2027, with an 18% CAGR. By 2026, the adoption of CSP-native platforms will propel 75% of container instances to be deployed within public cloud environments, up from 50% in 2023.
A: As this is the first Magic Quadrant for Container Management (transitioning from a Market Guide), all vendors listed are new inclusions rather than changes from a previous Magic Quadrant. Vendors were included based on meeting specific criteria including: market participation (GA capabilities as of April 1, 2023), capability requirements (native support for standard container management capabilities), and performance thresholds (minimum $100M in annual revenue with 100+ customers OR $30M in annual revenue with 30 net new customers in 2022, plus ranking in top 20 of Gartner's market momentum index).
