This is the first version of this Magic Quadrant for Collaborative Work Management. It replaces the Market Guide for Collaborative Work Management. The CWM market is evolving rapidly, driven by remote and hybrid work, rising customer demand for a variety of work use cases, interest from vendors in adjacent markets, and demand-generation tactics including freemium products targeting business users directly.

Vendors were included based on specific inclusion criteria including: $50 million+ in revenue or 300+ FTE employees dedicated to CWM, 300+ new paying customers or 30,000+ new user subscriptions in 2022, 100+ customers with $100,000+ annual contract value or 1,000+ users, ranking in top 20 vendors by Customer Interest Indicator score, and meeting market definition requirements for integrated work planning, in-context collaboration, workflow/automation, and reporting capabilities.
