This is the first version of the Magic Quadrant for Digital Employee Experience Management Tools. It replaces the Market Guide for DEX Tools.
A: This is the inaugural Magic Quadrant for this market, so there are no vendors that appeared in a previous year. The research replaces the Market Guide for DEX Tools format with the Magic Quadrant format. Vendors were included based on specific inclusion criteria including: having a generally available single license SKU as of October 31, 2023 with all must-have capabilities, the DEX tool being purchasable as a stand-alone product, core DEX capabilities being the vendor's own intellectual property, and ranking among the top 20 organizations in Gartner's customer interest index (CII). Two vendors received honorable mentions but did not meet inclusion criteria: Microsoft (lacking employee sentiment collection and outbound employee communications) and ServiceNow (lacking DEX/health score calculation and predefined remediation library at the time of evaluation).
